Third Party Software

It is the policy of all CCA member companies that no third party software is to be installed on the pharmacy IT systems without prior approval. Each CCA company maintains its own arrangements for the development, installation and control of software. Their systems are used all across UK, in all stores, and each company has licensing arrangements with approved third party providers. Member companies are also concerned that, until the arrangements for electronic transfer of prescriptions and access to medical records are clear, attempts to define additional software applications to satisfy local needs may compromise NPfIT requirements.
